Kia ora!

My name is Denize and I am proud to be part of the dedicated team here at Cairnfield House. Originally from the Philippines, I come from a healthcare background as a midwife, with several years of experience in rural community settings. Since moving to New Zealand, I have continued my passion for caring for others by completing the New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing Level 3, a Diploma in International Healthcare Assistance from Kalandra International, and most recently, the Level 4 Certificate in Health & Wellbeing – Diversional Therapy. These qualifications have deepened my understanding of person-centered and therapeutic approaches to care.
Caring for people has always been more than just a job to me—it is a calling. I enjoy building meaningful connections with our residents and supporting their wellbeing through engaging in various activities and therapies such as music therapy and exercises. My approach values each person’s individuality, promotes emotional and physical wellbeing, and encourages a sense of belonging and purpose. Being part of Cairnfield House has given me the opportunity to work in a compassionate environment where every day brings a chance to make someone feel seen, respected, and cared for.
Outside of work, I enjoy listening to music and podcasts, creating inspirational graphic posters for my page, and learning to play the piano. I am also a proud mother of two, and family means everything to me. It’s my hope that through the work I do here, I can continue to make a positive impact in the lives of our residents while growing both professionally and personally. I feel truly grateful to be part of this warm and welcoming community.
